Our spring kickball team, "Second Base", needed T-shirts, so we screen printed them ourselves and came up with clever aliases for the backs. |
Anne came back to visit from Mexico with Ricardo. After a great steak dinner at Murray's with Jon De Vaal, we went to Nyes and crooned out a few favorites with the old crowd. |
In honor of Cameron's memory, we gathered for his birthday at Beard's Plaisance near Lake Harriet. People brought all kinds of delicious things to munch on and shared their favorite Cameron stories. |
This Sunday's Rockband was also Easter, so we decorated a ton of eggs, made Easter shots, and tried our hand at fancy Ukrainian Easter Eggs with Clair's kit. |
Danielle's friend, Sandra, hosted an Easter Party, so we headed over for a fun filled day of egg hunting, beer pong, and prizes. I won a Jesus mug and lotsa candy. :) |
This Rockband's theme was pancakes! But not many were nommed. Instead we ate mostly cake and cheese and played Cranium. The night ended with letters to our friend at boot camp, Aaron. |
Bubba came over to play with Sid. He has unlimited energy and Sid soon tires of the constant play, but he's a good sport and always sleeps really well after such an exhausting evening. |
Adam has new hours with his current work schedule and is now able to join us for Rockband on Sundays. Adam lost his Rockband virginity and did well enough to keep his pants on! |
I joined Danielle and her friends for an evening of karaoke at the Otter. It'd been a while! Good to see old friends and new. :) |
Another night of Rockband and friends at the Manfort. This time we made all sorts of smoothie concoctions that were mighty tasty. |
Back to McGovern's in the morning with Toni to start this year's Green Day. We wandered all over St. Paul picking up friends and beer along the way. |
Memory Lanes hosted a Big Lebowski themed evening with $3 white russians and costume contest. So we donned our Lebowski gear from last year's party and went on over. I've never bowled so badly in my life, but the drinks were tasty! |
Another Our Bar night with Jon De Vaal. This time highlighted with Teresa's birthday and Don's Birthday. And Scott Dercks showed up to pick strings halfway through. |
After 6 months of Rockband Wednesdays, some neighbor finally had enough and called the cops. [big eye roll] So we moved the party to the Manfort and reinforced the no pants rule. |
I'm not sure this last party really qualifies as a "boozethon", but we had fun anyway. And Jerry-B brought his theramin to soothe us with it's strange and haunting sounds. |
Sid and I climbed into the hammock to watch a couple of movies in the Manfort movie lounge. |
We celebrated the Pant's mom's birthday at Tiff's condo. The theme was outdoors and hunting with fresh venison and carbou sausage and lots of other treats. I had fun mixing thin mint martinis for everyone. |
After the biggest snowfall of the season, we packed up a few sleds and went sliding at Powderhorn Park. Great fun in the snow! Afterwards, Crystal provided snacks and hot cocoa with butterscotch schnapps. :) |
After 3 years of snowboarding abstinence, I joined friends at Afton Alps to hit the slopes. Tons of fun, but man was I sore afterwards! Pics by Jessica and Mike. |
Rockband on a Friday night. This time with the new Rockband webcam, half a bottle of Black Velvet, 4 inches of snow, loss of pants, snow angels, and shenanigans galore. One of our wildest nights yet. :) |
Our rockband sessions are each starting to have themes. Sunday's was various the Seven Deadly Sins treats. Highlights included Crystal's meat cupcakes, a visit by Pant's little brother, and a toast to Dani and David's engagement. |
It was Tiff's half-birthday, so Warr shook his money-maker for her during a break in the Rockband action. Oh my! Of course more shenanigans were to come... |
The annual Powderhorn Sled Rally was so much fun! Once at the top of the hill in our 6 pack sled, I have to admit things looked a little intimidating. But after we crashed at the bottom of the hill, we were laughing so hard, no one noticed the pain. |
Aaron is joining the army and his brother is off to Korea to teach, so we sent them off in style with karaoke and friends at the 1029 bar. |
While the rest of us were watching the Superbowl, the rockband crew was taking on the Nevending Setlist of 84 songs in a row. I showed up for the last of 6 hours and helped finish it off. Legendary Status! |
Another Superbowl means another chili-fest at Betsy and Angelo's. This year there were 5 tasty contenders vying for the coveted golden Ex-Lax trophy bottle. |
We're participating in this year's Powderhorn Park Sled Rally, so we built a Premium Grain Belt 6-pack Sled. The hand painted sides turned out brilliantly. Stay tuned for rally pics next Saturday. |
Julie stopped by to see the Manfort in person, so I invited a few people over for drinks. Kari brought Sid's buddy, Snickers, along and the two had a great time using their cuteness to garner snacks. |
Another typical Wednesday. This time highlighted by shaving Jerry, breakfast for dinner, and the Rockband rule: Scoring less than 90% equals removal of your pants. |
Jessica joined me to visit Adam and we played a game of Mexican Train. Adam won and showed off some of his new artworks. |
