Tammi and I were in the mood for a little microphone action on Thursday night. So the Country Bar and then the Vegas Lounge served up the goods. |
Sid and I showed up for another Pug play date. He always has so much fun! This time he was shy and didn't join the group until I took his Mickey Mouse sweatshirt off. Peer pressure, I guess. |
Toni's big day was marked with Rockband competitions and tequila shots. And good friends, good food and party favors! |
Kevin and I spent 5 days up in Duluth helping our friend, Toni, set up for the large St. Mary's DECC celebration. It was a lot of work, but it was a great party and we met a lot of fun new people. |

Bob and I drove down to the Fort Snelling Club for some piano bar music with our friends. |
Bob came over on Christmas Eve to share gifts with us. Then after Santa left his goodies, we went to Jen's parents for more present unwrapping. Mira's favorite by far was all of the moon sand. |
It's time to throw the dice for white elephant gifts with the family. Afterwards, we went back to Mom's house for more gift giving. Adam's drawings were a hit. |
Before Mira's Holiday break, her class had a New Years party. Parents were invited to join, so we all had fun with the kids making crafts and playing games. |
Jeff Olson hosted a Holiday Cabaret evening at CAMP bar. Eleven talented singers joined Jeff on stage (including yours truly) for a wonderful night of Christmas music. |
Neither Kari, Bob nor I had ridden the Light Rail yet. So after brunch, we did the whole trip from Mall of America to Downtown and back. With a stop for a drink at Hard Rock. :) |
Everybody got "leid" at Betsy's Hawaiian birthday party. The punch flowed freely and alcohol induced moments of clarity led to much philosophical chatter and speculation. |
After stopping in to see Joy and Scott, I was off to Nyes to celebrate both Jeannine's and Dave's birthday. We had quite the time - as usual. |
Now that my tree was Santa-ready, Jen and Mira's needed the finishing touches. Sid came with to help eat the things that fell on the floor. |
Toni, Blake and I finally made it in to the Chatterbox for karaoke with our friend Geoff. Next time you feel like singing on a Monday swing on down and join us. |
Thomasina and friends, Tom West and William Glasper, held a cozy little concert at Isabel's Coffee Cafe. It was nice to see everyone again and certainly was a great way to start the weekend. |
Jen and Mira came over to help set up my tree. Sid and Maggie helped too by not chewing on the ornaments - even though they were very tempting. |
Dick and Elena hosted another great party at their home. A bunch of new friends joined us in singing Christmas songs and eating goodies. And Mira kept busy fawning over Buckley the puppy. |
The commission is done at last! Angelo stopped in to deliver the goods and we snapped pics of the rest of my collection. |
Sid and I went to the Millenium Hotel downtown for the Pug-A-Dazzle, (despite the blizzard). Sid wore himself completely out chasing all the pugs about. |
Jen and I drove out to the Wisconsin farm for Thanksgiving. Even Maggie's cuteness had to vie for attention with little Joey around stealing the show. |
Sid met Maggie for the first time and didn't know quite what to think. I suspect he thought she might be a wiggly chew toy. But a few kisses later, she won him over. |
Mira's getting a new pug, (a little black girl pug.) So we went to the breeder's to meet the litter and say hello. Mira is still thinking of names. :) |
Another Friday night ending at Nye's. With new friends and old, Lou never fails to keep up with the drunken debauchery grabbing the microphone. |
We celebrated Heather's birthday at the Chatterbox Pub. Her whole family was in town and it was great to catch up with them again. |
We met Kelly to see DBK's last performance at Club Underground. Then while in the neighborhood, we hit a couple of other karoake spots. |
Toni has been slaving to organize this event for months. It was a smashing success. I showed up to lend an extra hand - glad I got to see it all. Nyes was right across the street, so... |
Jen and Mira went over to the neighbors to carve pumpkins this year. The girls had fun yanking out the seeds and poking out holes to make scary faces. |
Oodles of pugs and all in costume. Sid was in heaven meeting all kinds of other pugs (rear end first, of course). He was Yoda and won an "Honorable Mention" chew toy. |
Mira's school had a family fun day. Jen and I ran the leave rubbing activity, then we wandered around to try all the other things going on. |
Greg and Colleen had a costume party at their house. Mira was the hit with her "cowgirl" outfit, but the "arabs" were pretty popular, too. |
