Recent Florida Pictures

The trip to visit Dad was a welcome reprive from the daily grind. (Although I did have to get up at 5 in the morning on Monday and Tuesday to go to work with Dad.)

I flew in Saturday afternoon and we hung out all night eating out and watching a Van Dam movie. On Sunday, we got a treat at Rose and Ken’s place with a delicious pork roast. Then bright and early Monday morning (as previously indicated) it was on to work where Dad does furniture repair.

We replaced the seat cushions in the brown leather couch in the pics. Then we drove out to a customer’s house and replaced an entire back in the field. It was fun and pretty great to work alongside Dad at one of the things he’s a natural at. Since the day ended early, I took him out for lunch at Hooters before going home. Sorry no pics from there.

Dad’s doing well. The meds are working their magic and he’s done a lot to change his lifestyle. Such a near death experience makes you rethink a lot of things and change your priorities a bit. I think we’ll have him around for a good long while yet.
