Synopsis:

Set in the lush environs of a deserted tropical island, this film (which received an Oscar nomination for Néstor Almendros’s gorgeous cinematography) tells the story of two shipwrecked children, Emmeline (Brooke Shields) and Richard (Christopher Atkins). As the cute kids turn into strikingly beautiful teenagers, nature takes its course: The pair falls in love and attempts to forge a life in the isolated paradise.
