Wake Up World Hootenanny
Last Tuesday, I joined Tiffiny and Allison for the Wake Up World Hootenanny at the Parkview Theater. After a short wait in line, we were sat front row in/by the leather couches. Woot! Perfect for a picture taking frenzy. :) Wheeled status does have its advantages.
I was excited, I hadn’t been to one of Jim’s Hootenannies for a long time and tonight’s was special in its political nature. We were not disappointed.
The schedule was thus:
- 10:00: Convention coverage on the Parkway big screen
- 11:00: Hootenanny with:

And surprise visits from:
From the Citypages’ Andrea Myers:
…Late Tuesday night, a handful of larger-than-life musicians convened at a small theater tucked away in south Minneapolis to exchange songs and stories before an awestruck audience…
I can’t some up the night better than Andrea’s article, but suffice to say, it was a helluva night with great music, fun satire, and an energy that filled the room with hope for November’s election.

Ike Reilly was there? wah! So mad I missed it!
It was so worth the $25 ticket. Awesome night!
