Goddamn Internet Explorer's idiot CSS reasoning

I will cheer loudly the day Microsoft finally goes away bringing the god-awful Internet Explorer down with it. It’s been a sinking ship for the last few years anyway. Please people — for the love of sanity — abandon explorer and start using Firefox today. You won’t even notice the difference (other than you’ll have less ad/pop-up/virus/etc issues and things on the net will look better and you’ll surf faster and more efficiently.)

So I noticed recently that all of the images that were floated with css (almost all the blog images) weren’t showing up in IE. Great. Now what is it. To make a long story short — I discovered that the float was the issue with the fact that I have all entries wrapped with a “content” class. I had that class with a css property of position: relative;. Probably residual from an old theme. Firefox and every other browsers that follows standards just ignored this and did things correctly. IE choked and displayed white space instead.

So anyway — it’s fixed now.
