The Commission is Complete!

As I wrote earlier, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the completion of Angelo’s latest work. He stopped by to deliver it last week. The result is fantastic and it now proudly hangs on my wall. :)

The Brewer Collection

I’ve touted my friend’s talent before, but I’ll restate my claim. Angelo has some mad skillz and his brand of art-style is right up my alley. He uses clever use of negative space and exquisite extremes of detail to portray scenes from the futuristic story in his head. He somehow manages to capture a form’s essence in a minimal set of lines. The poses and settings giving a mood set off with the colors chosen.

My first print was “The Drunk Artist Contemplates His Life”. A self-portrait of sorts of the artist himself. Although all the art at the first showing I attended was great, this piece spoke to me and I related with it. It came home with me. read more »

Visiting the Badger

Wednesday, June 13, 2007 - 12:02pm

Mom and I drove down to see the Badger this last weekend. It had been a long time — the last time I was there was before all of the Rabbit games in the hospital.

He’s good. Surviving and making the most of it. He has started running and does a few miles every day. Although he says he hates the running part, he’s happy with the results of feeling better and healthier. I’ll join in the exercise kick by doing my part and drinking more beer in order to better hold down the couch at home.

Adam had sent home a couple more pictures he drew. The three of us battling Kevin’s cancer is brilliant. Check out the name tags. :)

My camera is fancy and takes cool pics of you and all kinds of stuff. Look for your captured likeness in my gallery and peek at other victims of the camera’s flash.

When two opposite points of view are expressed with equal intensity, the truth does not necessarily lie exactly halfway between them. It is possible for one side to be simply wrong.
