This is the first year in a long time that I don't have to fart with this ridiculous holiday. :) I know the ladies like it and that's why we guys play our part and spend too much on roses and/or chocolate. But really -- is there a reason other than blatant capitalism that demands a dozen roses cost about $40-$50 this week and about $10 any other day of the year? If we're gonna have made up holidays like my favorite <a href="/node/1708">Talk Like a Pirate Day</a> (Sept. 19th), then I'm going to start advocating <a href="http://www.steakandbjday.com/">Steak and a BJ Day</a> on March 14th.
